Rt. Hon John Gaul, the immediate Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly has commended the state governor Senator Ben Ayade for transforming the fortunes of the state five years into his administration.
His remarks was contained in a press release made available to Patriot News in Calabar.
He used the occasion to urge electorates in Abi and Yakurr to turn out enmass and vote for People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship and counselorship candidates in the forthcoming council elections
Gaul who described Ayade “as a pragmatic, innovative and very exceptional leader”, observed that the governor has once again returned the state on the path of glory with his people-needs-driven projects and programmes which have brought meaningful development to state.
This, he said, had also contributed to making life more meaningful to the people.
He expressed optimism about the chances of the PDP at the polls, saying that “the out come would be 100% in favour of the party”.
“Let me use this medium to urge the people of Abi and Yakurr to massively vote for Hon Farathor Robinson and Hon Ofem Ebri Obeten as chairman of Abi and Yakurr respectively, as well as all the councilorhip candidates in the two local government areas”.
“PDP is the only party with good intentions for the people and the party is focused and committed to serving their interests, he declared”.
Gaul thanked Ayade for his commitment towards ensuring that the third tier of government in the state becomes fully functional while bringing governance closer to the people.
