It was yet another Communion Service with the theme “Is there no balm in Gilead? This is God asking the question because He was angry. And behold He manifested and proved to them that He is the greatest physician at God’s Arena of Liberty outreach.
The service took a different dimension as there was healing, deliverance and prophetic declarations in-between the presentation of the Word.
Indeed, it could be described as “unusual and uncommon” experience as people got their healing much more earlier than expected during the service.
This confirmed the presence of God as represented by His Servant, Prophet Sunday Obi.
God confirmed His word by resuscitating a young lady whom the prophet had said she was going to die on March 12th, 2021 the previous week. She was carried into the church as she could not walk nor stand but through the mercy of God she came back to live full of appreciation to her Creator.
The congregation was ignited with shouts and praises to Master “Jesus” as she stood up and began to walk round the place dancing and giving glory to God Almighty.
The Prophet had pleaded with worshippers not to play with prophesis that comes to them through the Servant of God. Prophets are Gods eyes on earth and must be taken serious.
And healing, deliverance and casting out of demons engulfed the entire hall as the Prophet and ministers had enough to contend with, but the grace of God overwhelmed the power of darkness and it came to pass.
“All that happened is by His special grace as He alone deserves praises, honour and adoration. It is God that did all that occurred”.
Presenting the intercessory prayers, Papa Abraham, the Father of the ministry, prayed God to manifest and do that which no man can do during the service.
He prayed God to “heal us in spirit, soul and body so that we may be completely made whole”.
Also, he prayed God to reactivate the balm in our spirit and soul, “it is God that makes the balm in Gilead a special one”.
Presenting the Word with the theme “Is there no balm in Gilead? Pastor Thomas Ubong, an outstanding man of God quickly referenced Jer 8:1-22 “Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?”
The people of Isreal had backslided and provoked God. There was wickedness and total sin in the land. They were serving idols and living unrighteous life, he recounted. The God we serve is a jealous God. He doesn’t put sickness in you, except when you leave in sin.
“Egypt was not covered and God turned sickness in the land. When you leave in sin, it will seem as if God has forsaken you. Visiting “babalawo” is serving idolatry. Mind what you drink from that man or woman, it might be an “initiation”. Egypt worshipped idols. They never believed in God, but at last, the power of God is greater than any drug or balm. Egypt was a cursed land.
He described balm as a fragrance or cream or substance used for healing. Balm can be sickness, sin and unrighteousness in our lives.
Ubong said that the word of God is first balm while the Holy Spirit is the second. Where there is spirit of God, there is liberty.
He quoted “Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed”. Also, he referred us to Ps.103:3,3 Jn. 1:2, Mat. 15:26,Lk.7:1-6/8:43″ for further illustrations.
However, he said in “Isa 31:1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!”
According to him “they that call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved”.Exo 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee”.
“The problem of the world today is man and not God. Sin has delayed our progression and spiritual growth in our lives. It is God that heals. You must accept Christ as your Lord and Savior before you get your healing. He loves those who hear the word of God and put into practice for quick understanding, he added”.
He prayed that whatever sickness that is in our bodies shall dry up in Jesus Name Amen. Also, he prayed that all demonic attacks in our lives be destroyed in Jesus name Amen.
Throwing more emphasis on the Word, Prophet Sunday Obi, who exalted His Holy Name, said God had all along perfected His work on earth through His only Begotten son Jesus Christ.
“Because of His presence “today every stranger in our body will die and disappear in Jesus Name Amen”.
Conducting the corporate prayers after ministration, he prayed God to expose all those involved in bloodsheding in the country and that God should visit and torment those suppressing others in their work places across the nation.
He prayed for a new Nigeria soonest where the righteous shall mount the throne of leadership in this country. We are tired of this blood sucking government and pronounced that the 1991 constitution be abolished henceforth “.
The Arena Echo international choir was on charge and rendered praise and worship songs to the glory of God during the service.
There was joy and happiness in the house as many believers received their instant and permanent healing. Oooh! what an awesome service filled with the spirit of God “.
“God never fail or disappoint His people. They came, they saw and they got their healing in abundance”.
His Mercies endureth forever more – Amen!
