The State Chairman of All Progressives’ Congress (APC), Cross River State, Barr. Alphonsus Eba, has described the recent judgement by the Federal High Court sitting in Calabar as signed political seal of “Back To South” agenda because it is divine
He made the remarks while answering questions from journalists in Calabar, shortly after the judgement that confirmed Senator Prince Bassey Otu as the authentic governorship candidate of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) for the forthcoming election in 2023
Eva noted that what happened was only a brotherly contest.The judgement is “solid” and as a party they won’t allow any appeal.
According to him, ” it is time for the party to go back and build and unite the family. It is the foundation to which I became the chairman, and that peace, love and unity shall be the focus of my political evangelism”.
He cited section 84 sub sec (1 )of the Electoral Act which he said is very clear about the mode of conducting party primaries. He stressed further that section 29 sub section (1) gave the powers and that, they complied with all the argument that was brought forth under section 84 sub section (14) and the court in its wisdom has said that they found no merit in it and has dismissed the matter.
He described the judgement as victory for every member of the party, victory for democracy and victory for the rule of law
