The Cross River State Labour Party (LP), Patriarch Ogar Osim, has said that Peter Obi Presidential ambition had received a national and international endorsement without religious, ethnic, traditional or political sentiment across the country.
“This is because Peter Obi haseverything that Nigerians need in a leader that will change the sorry state of our country. He is the bestamong the best. He is the only candidate in the racethat you don’t need a team of Doctors to ascertain hisstate of health, neither do we need a team of lawyers to defend his academic records or his source of wealth”.
Osim was speaking to newsmen in Calabar to express the party’s appreciation to the media, traditional rulers, security agencies, support groups as well as the good people of Cross River State for the warm reception accorded our Presidential Candidate, His Excellency, Peter Obi and his entourage during his campaign rally in Cross River State.
According to him, “for us in Labour Party, campaigning for Pete Obi and his deputy, Ahmed Datti are like a walk over through the park because his character, competency, capacity and records are well known to both citizens and non citizens of the country.”
“Peter Obi presidential Ambition is beyond ordinary politics. It is a Divine movement rooted in the plans of the Almighty God for Nigeria. There is no amount of manipulation by the opposition that will work because Peter Obi represents the spirit of freedom, the spirit of our heroes who labored and sacrificed for the greatness of our beloved country and according to the Nigerian national Anthem, he said “.
He called on the media practitioners to join in the sensitisation of Nigerians to get their PVCs and vote Labour Party at the poll on 25th February 2023.”
“Labour Party, he said, in Cross River is the race to win elections. This decision was taken long ago as far back as March 2021 during its National Convention in Benin City”
“Therefore, we are not collapsing structures with any political party in the state rather we expect other political parties to collapse their structures into Labour Party because LP is the only party with an ideology that will stand the test of time “.
He urged every Nigerian to collect their PVCs and vote all Labour Party candidates from the presidency to House of Assembly and House of Reps.
Labour Party if elected into power in the state, shall focus, agriculture and food security, education, healthcare delivery, and security.
Osim gave LP slogan as “A Greater Cross River: We Are All We Need: We Are Better Together”.
The chairman of the (LP) Presidential Council, Prof. James Ekpoke also spoke well of His Excellency Peter Obi and the reason why he should be voted into power.
“Obi is a leader with a difference given his good deeds especially the huge amount of money he left in the coffers of the state.”
