A socio-political group known as “The Directorate of Bridge Builders has described Sen. Owan Enoh, as a man of honour having willingly terminated all judicial processes against the former gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive’s Congress APC, Sen. Bassey Otu, now governor-elect.
A statement issued and signed by the Director General, Don Courageo Michaels in Calabar, the group expressed its admiration for Owan Enoh, honoured the request of the then Presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The group described Sen. Enoh as “a perfect gentleman whose word is his bond”.
It commended his humility, adherence to due process and respect for elders and constituted authorities not withstanding his great political machinery which could have been deployed to his own benefit after the anticipated judicial victory.
It also called the attention to his character as a loyal party man who deployed his political machinery in support of his party during the 2023 general elections, hence the emphatic victory at the polls, even in the oppositions’ strongholds.
The statement states that, “Senator John Owan Enoh is a game changer whose mark of political dexterity was very pronounced in the governorship and House of Assembly elections.
Accordingly, “he collapsed and brought to bear his intimidating political structure for the benefit of everyone contesting under the platform of the APC.”
“Owan the statement noted, charged his numerous supporters which cut across different political parties all over the state to support Sen. Otu as well as to eschew all forms of resentments towards him and to do everything possible to convince the electorates to vote for APC as a vote for Prince Otu and other APC candidates were as good as a vote for Owan Enoh.”
The statement further stated that; “Senator Enoh is not the ordinary everyday politician we are used to”.
Furthermore, “he has the experience, pedigree, antecedents and most especially, he is an empathetic politician and a great political talisman of our time.”
The group called “on those who won the just concluded elections facilitated by his well-oiled political structure to emulate his footsteps in delivering measurable and sustainable democratic dividends.”
