Bakassi Council, PCRC To Build Office For DPO

Bakassi Local Government Council  in Cross River State is to collaborate with the local  Police Community Relations Committee PCRC  to build a separate befitting office  for the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in the area.

The Chairman of Bakassi Local Government Area,  Hon Iyadim Amboni Iyadim, disclosed this when he received members of the  PCRC, Bakassi chapter led by its Chairman, Hon Elder Stanley Edet during a courtesy call  in his office.

According to the Chairman who frowned at the current status of the office of the DPO in the area, the office will also have a conference hall where the committee will hold its meetings.

He commended the committee for achieving the  relative  peace which Bakassi now enjoys because of its activities, and promised to support it  attain its numerous goals 

According to the chairman who was decorated  by  the committee, ” as a one time  Community Relations Officer an later an  SA Security for Bakassi,  i will collaborate with you to ensure security of lives and property are guaranteed”.

He informed the committee of the Council’s intended ward tour which be the first of its kind in the area to  afford   the council  opportunity to feel the purse of the electorate and know what they want

Iyadim unveiled that information gathered from the tour  will be used  a data base   to enable the council  locate a project in each ward as from next  year, adding that this will   create  a sense of belonging across the length and breadth of the area.

He commended the committee for undertaking some projects within the premises of the Divisional Police Station as  contributions in creating a conducive working environment  for  officers and men of Nigeria Police in the area.

Earlier, the Chairman of Police Community Relations Committee PCRC, Bakassi Local Government Area chapter, Hon Elder Stanley Edet,  commended Iyadim,who as the seventh Chairman of Bakassi Local Government Area has performed some remarkable feats within his first 100 days in office  thereby giving Bakassi a  new face  and further described  him as God sent to the area..

Edet promised to work with the Chairman whom he said is a pioneer member of the committee , to achieve his goals  as he has started a good job

He therefore   solicited the Council’s assistance  to enable the  building a separate office for the Divisional Police Officer stationed in the area..
