.One of the seasoned and tested politician in Cross River state, Chief Ogban Ebock of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), has indicated interest to contest for the 2023 governorship election.
He has joined others just as the 2023 elections is beginning to unfold.
Chief Ogban Ebock made his intention known recently while addressing newsmen in Calabar.
Ebock a former personal assistant to the then Minister of finance during late General Abacha regime, Etubom Anthony Ani said “I have the exposure and the capacity to serve as governor of the State”.
“I am prepared both physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically to steer the ship of our dear State as governor”.
He was of the opinion that he has the pedigree to lead the State to attain greater height in all spheres of endeavors.
Ebock reaffirmed his patriotic zeal to serve the State transparently where accountability and trust will guide his activities in the management of scarce resources believing that, this will ensure rapid growth and development of the States at a higher and a pristine capacity.
He noted that there are some structural problems that have retarded the noble efforts by previous regimes in the State noting that “i have the right disposition to abridge and consolidate all the blue prints into a perfect policy direction that would become my mantra.
He declared “I would consolidate the political, socio-cultural and economic gains made so far by previous administration.”
Ebock commended the efforts of the Ayade led administration in the state for laying the foundation for the industrialization of the state, adding”I shall continue from where he stops”.
