The Commissioner for Establishments, Training And Pensions, Hon.Mrs. Lawrecia E. Ita, has reiterated the statutory requirements for improved service delivery through training and retraining in Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the state.

The Commissioner who stated this during an exclusive interview with pressmen in her office said that such viable and productive exercise has become expedient to effectively and efficiently cover the gaps created by the mass disengagement occasioned by retirements of workers from the civil and public service.

Ita explained further that the existing staff strength through training and retraining could be more properly positioned to expand their scope of duties in proactive and pragmatic manners without rocking-the-boat.

According to her, resource person’s for the exercise could be drawn from experienced staff within the service and retirees who apparently are still endowed with prerequisite wealth of knowledge to impact.

She expressed confidence that civil and public servants were ready and willing to be assiduous in their jobs but needed a reinvigoration of the knowledge of their statutory roles especially at this time of filling-the-gaps.

The Hon Commissioner used the forum to commend the. state Governor, Senator( Prince) Bassey Edet Otu for his unequivocal support in this regard.
