Governor Ben Ayade thought he will reign as governor and then retire to the senate in 2023.
The senator representing that senatorial district, Senator Rose Oko has passed away in far away London Hospital.
This is going to create a vacuum in the senate, and upon her death, the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will conduct a bye-election after 90-120 days.
Unless governor Ben Ayade resigns as governor to contest as a senator in exactly 90-120 days, he will not retire to the senate as a senator.
All the antics of the governor, playing the God factor, deciding who gets what, when, where, and how, automatically ends with the death of Senator Rose Okonji Oko.
Governor Ben Ayade has been too overbearing, overreacting, and hyperactive because of his ambition. He has gone too far (fa reaching) across his bounds just so he get the senate seat in 2023.
But you see, someone from somewhere will somehow become the next senator effortlessly.
God has a way of always setting aside man’s perspective.
While I wish Late Senator Rose Okonji Oko a safe journey to her eternal rest, it is also expedient on those who thinks they’re God to reconsider their stance.
No man can play God.
This is also a lesson to those who played the God factor with my ambition to be Chairman of Yakurr LGA. God is saying that you must repent.
