The Accountancy Class ’97 of the then Polytechnic Calabar, has successfully held her 3rd Reuni
A statement issued in Calabar by Chairman, Publicity Committee, Eld. Nicholas Obun Dan, (FCA, PhD, FCTI), described the event as a huge success.
According to Dan, It was a reunion of all and sundry within and from the diaspora.
The meeting offered an opportunity for “Meet & Greet” and welcome party where members expressed thankfulness to God recalling with nostalgia the days in the then Polycal.
He said members later proceeded to Unicross for the commissioning of a signage which was the star project of the year.
According to him, “after critical review of the current Exco and activities, the following resolutions were reached;”that our bye laws be amended in terms of the tenure of executive to three years instead of 2 years as enshrined in the bye laws, that the AGM now to be held every three years and that Amendment of our Accounting year from 1st December to November 30 every year.
Others resolutions include, submission and receipt of the financial report for the period and members commended the Exco for a job well done and that the current Exco were re- elected for a three year term.
The re-elected Executives are Prince Inyang Inyang Bassey – President, Prince Obiora Eze – Vice President, Mrs Sarah Eyo – General Secretary, and Mr Osim Eyam Okpak – Asst Gen Secretary.
Others are Mr Ayi Okon Bassey, FCA – Treasurer, Mr Mark Ashaba – PRO, Mrs Odo Asuquo – Social & Welfare Officer, Pst Ewongoabasi Okon – Financial Secretary and Mr Edem Effiong – Ex- Officio.
The meeting saw the inauguration of the Exco for the next 3 years.
The 3-day programme was climaxed with a Thanksgiving service at The Apostolic Church Ikot Uduak Assembly, Calabar.
He said the Reunion meeting was held between Friday 15th – 17th December, 2023 at Calabar.
