Ikom Sons Condemn Destruction, Looting Of Ndoma-Egba’s Residence During #EndSARS Protest Hoodlums

A group of concerned sons from Ikom local government area of Cross River State have described as the attack Senator Victor Ndoma Egba’s property as “unprovoked and unwarranted”.

A statement issued and signed by 10 sigñatories said “we witnessed with shock the destruction and looting of Sen. Ndoma-Egba’s house on the 24th of Oct 2020. under the guise of #ENDSARS protest”.

It continued, “we will for the sake of the records, state that the former Senate Leader, Sen , Ndoma-Egba (SAN) worked hard and honestly to earn what some misguided holigans destroyed and stole”.

According to the statement, “Chief spent a larger part of his working life as a private legal practitioner and merely had a stint as a politician. His investment and philanthropy has mainly been in Calabar which beneficiaries decided to pay him with wickedness. They bit the finger that fed them. Why visit such anger on a gentleman who cannot hurt a fly?”.

The statement further said  ” it is really sad and despicable.We the uderlisted therefore not only sympathize with him but totally conderm the attack on him and called on government  fish out the crminals and punish them accordingly”.

The signatories are :Mr Odo Nja, Mr Henry Ogim, Hon. Sylvester Agbor, Hon Mbissang Ogbo, and Mr Henry Ojogu.

Others are Mr Efobe Nja, Hon Akonjum Nsan, Mr Egan Anohobi, Mr Aninghe Nkang, añd Mr Tawo Takim,

It would be recalled that the state government has constituted a judicial panel of inquiry over the destruction, looting and arson on private and public properties destroyed by hoodlums during the #EndSARS protest..
