The Ministry of Wealth Creation And Employment in furtherance to its strategic plans to boost its operation, has begun a robust, concrete and sustainable gathering and sharing of knowledge and experience for the success of the Ministry.
One of the numerous efforts is the interaction with sister ministries and agencies in the state, the committee of states and at the federal level.
The recent bold step is the visit to the sister ministry in Lagos state, Ministry of Wealth Creation And Employment where he was heartily received by the Hon. Commissioner, Permanent secretary and the entire management team.
The enthusiastic reception created the needed environment for interactions elucidating the unique “modus operandi” of the sister state ministries and their levels of success.
Hon Patrick Egbede said that the Ministry which was a fresh innovation of the Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu led administration was borne out of the burning desire to establish a platform to deliberately ginger the people of Cross River State into embarking on wealth creation and employment activities.
He noted that Lagos state has remained a frame of reference in economic growth and stability in the country which should be emulated adding that “the synergy therefore, is to give the ministry in Cross River State the knowledge for foundational build up”.
Hon. Egbede expressed gratitude to the host for the show of solidarity and magnanimity which he hoped to reciprocate someday.
Earlier, the host, Hon. Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, Commissioner for Wealth Creation And Employment, Lagos State described the visit as an honour to the Lagos State government promising to treasure it.
He recalled that over the years the Lagos State government has been participating in the Cross River tourism programs especially the Calabar Carnival and hoped for it’s sustainance and other areas of possible collaboration.
