They obeyed prophetic instructions and got spiritual cleansing

By: Phil Adams/Vitalis Ugoh, Calabar

The journey of Christian life is full of hiccups and spiritual leprosy. It needs constant cleansing and revival to sustain the journey. This is not through our personal comfort but via our relationship with God. It must be relational. It must be backed up with “prayers and fasting”.

The troubles of this life are too much for one to carry, hence our Lord Jesus Christ says “bring all your burdens to Him for He has the power and authority over all principalities and power.”

As the journey commenced in ernest, God’s ARENA of liberty (GOAL) Outreach as well as other Ministries all over the World, have set a period of time to go spiritual so as to reconnect with God to make the journey easy – Alleluia!

Therefore, the General Overseer Prophet Sunday Obi, had graciously announced a “one week intensive prayer and fasting” for reunification and connection with God.

A sinner can not connect with God. He becomes a tool for Satan to use at will.

“We as Christians must learn to obey the Word of God and obey the instructions of His Prophets”.

Hence the theme of Friday’s Service was “Obedience To Prophetic Instructions”.

He raised prayer points according to Isa 44:26, seeking for a humble heart to obey the word of a prophet always, 2 chro. 20:20 asking God to establish us in 2026, Isa 1:19, Lord, I am ready to eat the good of the land, Psa 102:13, seeking God’s mercy and called on God to scatter wherever evil people have gathered against the family and the church in Jesus Name, Amen.

As usual, God’s own general, Prophet Sunday Obi had directed thirty minutes worship to lighten up the presence of God. It was a rewarding session. His presence manifested in Glory – Alleluia!

The ARENA Echo International choir had rendered her Special No “I am no longer a slave to fear”. The Lord acknowledged the song as the congregation reflected over the praise. Prophet Obi too applauded the choir, saying “it is only a sinner that fears. Until, you discover who you are in Christ Jesus, you will continue to live in fear”.

While appreciating God for the year 2026, he reminded the congregation that “God does not share His Glory with anyone”.

Speaking on the theme “Obedience To Prophetic Instructions 2kgs 5:1-14”, Prophet Sunday Obi, recalled the experience of Naaman, the Syrian Captain with leprosy. He lived in sin until the Holy Spirit spoke to him on what to do to be cleansed.

Naaman, obeyed God’s prophet Elisha’s instructions to dip himself 7 times in the Jordan River and wash away his leprosy. He initially resisted but obeyed, and was healed – Amen.

Obi declared that God shall meet us at the point of our needs in 2026 in Jesus Name Amen.

He continues “what a Prophet does, a medical doctor cannot do. Just obey his instructions. Going to church does not matter, but your relationship with God. Today as you dip yourself in the Holy Spirit, your Christian life will change in Jesus Name Amen.”

Some notable examples in the Bible: Noah obeyed God’s instructions to build the ark, saving his family (Genesis 6-9), Moses & the Red Sea: Moses obeyed God’s instruction to stretch out his staff, parting the Red Sea (Exodus 14), Joshua & Jericho: Joshua obeyed God’s instructions to march around Jericho, leading to the city’s fall (Joshua 6), Elijah & the Widow*: Elijah obeyed God’s instruction to go to Zarephath, where he was fed by a widow (1 Kings 17).

Obedience led to healing, Humility brings breakthrough and faith beyond borders.

He described betrayal as evil and it carries curse. When you obey your Prophet, you see the light and God will change their situation for good.

Prophet Obi had earlier released blessings upon the lives of the congregation.

The ministration was spiritual as directed by the Holy Spirit during the service. Many were touched including security personnel who came celebrate their colleagues successful retirement from active service.

The 7 points prayer were delivered by the Son of prophet, Victor Onen as led by the Holy Spirit.

Oh Lord God, I plead that you cleanse every leprosy in my life, in my marriage, career, finances and in my children, remove all curses from my foundation, destroy any man or woman responsible for the leprosy in my family, job, spiritual life as well as in my marriage, I shall not die, I will glorify your Name.

The highlight of the service was the thanksgiving by the family of DSP Thomas Etta, who celebrated his retirement from the police service after 35 years of active service.

It was another memorable service indeed. The glory of God was intact from the beginning to the end of the service.

The one week prayer and fasting ended on Sunday in thanksgiving.
