The Special Adviser to the governor on Non-indigenes Affairs, Mazi Okey Maduekwe was honoured by the Cross River state government as well as some Chairmen of council during the final burial of her Mother late Nnedimma Geraldine Maduekwe at Agbagosu Osina Ideato North local government area of Imo state.
The Chief of Staff to the state governor, Chief Emmanuel Ironbar represented Senator Bassey Otu, at the occasion.

The leadership of the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Hausa/Fulani, Yoruba, Middle Belt Forum, Niger Delta Communities in Cross River State sent their delegation too.
Also fully on ground were the Unified Breed Sports Club delegates, the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State, the Executive Chairman of Abi Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman of Obubra Local Government Area, Hon. Kingsley Ibon Arikpo and the Executive Chairman of Akpabuyo Local government area, Hon. Bassey Effiom Bassey.

Also present were sympathizers from far and near including the Publisher of Development Agenda Magazine, Mr Paddy Ezeala.
The Executive chairman of Ideato North local government Hon. Arc. Chukwunonso Okpareke was represented by her vice chairman, Hon. Lady Kate Osigwe during the occasion.
The Special Adviser to the governor of Cross River state on Non-indigenes Affairs, Mazi Okey Maduekwe had onbehalf of his family, appreciated all that honoured their invitation.
Earlier, Chief Sir Livinus Emeka Ihezie (KSM), Onowu Ndi Igbo, Cross River State prayed for the guests on behalf of the family.

The final burial of late (Mrs) Geraldine maduekwe was witnessed by dignitaries, friends and well wishers from far and near. The burial was on the 20th February, 2025.
May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
