“Conflict is a natural phenomenon in life hence the need to appreciate such situations’.
This assertion was made today by Rev Fr Augustine Asuquo at a Homily in a Mass at the St Anthony of Padua worship Center Basin Satellite town, Calabar.
Rev Fr Asuquo emphatically said that everything in life manifests two sides which seems to conflict with one another but in essence could be harmoniously reconciled without any harm done to the subjects or collaterally.
This according to him elicits the beauty and sweetness of life which is relished and savoured.
Giving examples of night vs day,hot vs cold, sweet vs bitter and so many others the priest said that the phenomenon translates to human relationship.
He pointed out that individual differences is not an avoidable circumstance which must be applauded because of the divinity involved.
Rev Fr. Asuquo said that the grace of God cannot be faulted in anyway as His designs are with principal reasons to create harmony.
According to him the misunderstanding among human beings is the gross lack of appreciation of the differences and ability to positively exploit the opportunities.
He asserted that it is because of the lack of discernment that prompts families to be in disarray instead of passionately considering the human differences endowed in man.
The priest opined that empathy, true love, patience, sympathy, passion and understanding should always be the guiding principles of human relationships and that the lack of these virtues when translated into the larger society causes the mayhem prevalent in the society.
In reference to the Bible, Rev Fr Asuquo said that Jesus Christ in His human capacity demonstrated that inspite of any form of conflicts peace and harmony can be generated expounded and overwhelm the society.
On this premise he said that Christ showed no iota of discrimination against any man both on the cross during his crucifixion or the charge for his disciples to reach out to the whole world to preach the gospel.
Love, the Rev Fr said was the central beacon which everyone should consider and strongly believe in for the harmonious advancement of a most desired peaceful world.
