Celebrating a unique Soldier/ politician at 70: Brigadier- Gen. Buba Marwa, one good turn.
Moved by the glowing tribute in celebration of his 70th birthday:” Celebrating a living legend @70 in the Guardian of September 10 by his erstwhile Press Secretary, Sina Ogubambo, I remembered that the celebrant had celebrated me in 2006 on the same platform he too was celebrated at the Annual Accounting Dinner of the Nigerian Universities Accounting Students’ Association ( NUASA) in Abuja.
In the spirit of one turn deserves another, I join my colleague Sina, in celebrating the Statesman who won NUASA Award of “Most Outstanding Personality For 2006” while my award was for Honesty and Transparency for returning an overpayment of N500,000 to a bank.
According to NUASA “Dr. Muhammed Buba Marwa (OFR) is a quintessential Soldier, Scholar, Diplomat and Administrator per excellence”.
