We Have Every Justification To Follow Ayade – Akpabuyo Chair

It was like a carnival in Akpabuyo local government area of Cross River State recently, when All the Progressives’ Congress(APC), Akpabuyo chapter had their grand declaration.

The event had in attendance the likes of the former Minister of Culture and Orientation, Mr. Edem Duke, the Managing Director, Cross River Basin Development Authority, Engr. Bassey Mkposong, State Caretaker Secretary of the party, Dr. Ntete Bassey Duke, Commissioner, special Advisers and other party stalwarts from the area.

Speaking, the Chairman of Akpabuyo local government area, Hon. Emmanuel Offiong Bassey, said the people of Akpabuyo are appreciative of what the governor Senator Ben Ayade has done in the state and what he is doing in the local government.

According to him, “there has never been any time in the history of Cross River State that Akpabuyo has two Commissioners, adding that the power sub-station in Akpabuyo is a product of Ben Ayade’s administration.

He maintained that the people of Akpabuyo have every justification to follow the governor and that the people of the Local Government made no mistakes in joining APC.
  Hon. Offiong said that the event has given opportunity to both PDP decampees and people from other parties in the chapter area to register their membership with APC. 

In his words, “today’s event marks the unification of all the parties in Akpabuyo, thereby marking the Local government APC hundred percent (100%)”, and pledged that the people of that area will continue to support the governor and his administration”,

Also speaking, the former Minister for Culture and Orientation, Mr. Edem Duke said what the governor has done is the best decision for the state to align with the centre.

He said there has to be new enlightenment of the people about the party assuring that APC will take the people to the promise land. and called on the people  to be united, so that they can build a strong and a virile party.

He advised the people against any discouragement, maintaining that, “everybody has the right to choose and cautioned against taking anything personal against anybody in the course of moving to APC because we are still brothers and sisters and we are all from the same state.

The managing Director of Cross River Basin Development, Engr. Bassey Mkposong, said the administration of Ben Ayade amongst other things has brought relative peace in the area while assuring them of brotherliness.

He commended governor Ayade for his proactiveness and assured the people of the area that darkness will be a thing of the past now that NEPA has brought a sub-station to Akpabuyo.

in his own remarks, Dr. Ntete Bassey Duke, state secretary of the party advised that, every member should go out and register, as registration is free as he called on the Chairman of council to carry everybody along in the course of his administration.
