His Holiness Olumba Obu releases blessings upon followers at grand finale of Silver Jubilee celebration ….gives award to Veteran journalists in the state

The Spiritual Leader and Sustainer of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS)His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, has admonished his followers to remain calm and faithful as the Kingdom of God will continue to flourish beyond human comprehension.


Speaking in a sermon to mark the end of the celebration, he described the occasion as a fulfillment of divine prophecy, referencing biblical promises. 


“Today marks a sacred and historic moment in the divine agenda of creation. You are no longer strangers but Sons of the living God, he proclaimed”.

The spiritual leader emphasized the enduring nature of the kingdom, saying, “Kingdoms have risen and passed away, systems have failed, but this Kingdom endures because it is founded on the unchanging Word of God.”.


Therefore, he urged followers to remain united in love and steadfast in faith as the Kingdom of God would continue to flourish beyond human comprehension.


The Universal Monarch, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu spoke on Sunday at the U.J. Esuene International Stadium in Calabar, to mark the grand finale of the 25th coronation anniversary

 
Over 30,000 dignitaries, religious leaders, and faithfuls from across the globe were in attendance.

In his remarks, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Elder Bassey Imohowo, described the occasion as a historic and sacred milestone, marking a quarter-century of what he called “divine kingship and enduring spiritual leadership.”

Imohowo expressed profound gratitude, saying, “with hearts overflowing with reverence, we gather to celebrate the Universal Monarch and the Grand Celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ.”


He noted that the anniversary was not merely a celebration of time but a reflection of “divine sovereignty, enduring grace, and the eternal reign of a kingdom that knows no end.”


“For 25 glorious years, we have witnessed the manifestation of divine kingship marked by mercy, truth, power, and unfathomable love for humanity,” he said, adding that the event transcends physical celebration and represents a deeper spiritual reality impacting lives worldwide.


Imohowo further described the jubilee as a moment of thanksgiving and renewal, urging followers to remain committed to the service of God.


 “Let this moment renew our strength, inspire righteousness, and deepen our faith in the divine kingdom,” he charged.


Also speaking, the Brotherhood spokesman, Dr. Amah Williams, called on members worldwide to remain steadfast in their faith in the leadership of Olumba Obu. 


“This is the era of kingship. Let us carry this message to our communities, our nation, and the world,” he said, while expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve

.
As part of the celebration, awards were presented to winners of the international singing competition, with Lagos State clinching first position, followed by Rivers State and Germany in second and third places respectively, while other regions and countries ranked accordingly.


The event also featured the presentation of the King of Kings Silver Jubilee Journalists Award to several media professionals, including Comrade Archibong Bassey, Chairman of the Cross River State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Comrade Gill Nsa, Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Affairs, and former Chief Press Secretary to the Governor. 

Others journalists who received the award include Comrade Mike Abang, Secretary of the Council, Comrade Anietie Akpan, Comrade Vitalis Ugoh, Comrade Emma Akpong, Comrade Sam Egbala and others, in recognition of their contributions to journalism and coverage of the Brotherhood’s activities.
