C”River LG Polls: PDP Wins In 18 Local Government Areas

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won all the 18 chairmanship and councillorship positions in the just concluded local government elections.
Local government elections was conducted across the state on Saturday May 30,2020 in all the 18 local government areas
The Chief Electoral Officer, Dr. Mike Ushie, said the results were compiled by the Returning officers who where in the field for the commission to officially declare before the media,
According to him, “five registered political parties participated fully during the elections
He told journalists at a press briefing that the results were declared announced recorded and submitted.
“It is our responsibility as required by the Electoral law to conduct and declare ,, he said”
Ushie reiterated that the results declared were signed by returning officers and their agents.
He thanked the media for been part of the historical exercise of concluding the local government elections.
