The chairman of Bakassi Local Government Area, Hon Chief Iyadim Amboni Iyadim, has restated his determination to impact positively on the area to ensure it takes its pride of place among other local government areas across the country
Speaking on Sunday after receiving an award for THE MOST RESILIENT GRASSROOT DEVELOPER from Men Valor , Shalom Church ,Calabar, Iyadim appreciated the church for honoring him with the award as well as acknowledging his contribution to better the conditions of rural areas
Iyadim, represented by Effiong Etim Okon, Special Adviser – Peace/ Security, promised that the award will spur him to do more to impact lives positively, stressing that the governor of the state ,Prof Ben Ayade has set the pace for development across the state which he as chairman of local government intends to replicate in Bakassi for the benefit of the people
He noted that Ayade’s aggressive approach to industrialization in an inspiration which he has keyed in for Bakassi which by providence, is an international border town
The chairman pledged to support the church in its efforts to move to its permanent location as his contribution and encouragement to evangelism.

Speaking about the award in an interview, Pastor Joseph Inyang disclosed that Iyadim’s effort in taking governance to the grassroots is laudable and worth emulating because of its potential to upturn things for good, adding that rural areas will have a face lift if other local government areas take a cue from there .
Inyang congratulated the recipients for recording giant strides in their different fields of endeavors which attracted attention culminating in the awards
