CRS-NIPR Boss Sues For Proper Funding For CRGIA

The State Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Cross River State Chapter, Comrade Benedict Okache, has called on the Executive governor of the State, His Excellency,Sen. (Prof.) Ben Ayade to give financial enablement and necessary support to the Cross River State Geographic Information Agency (CRGIA) for greater efficiency in land management and wider reach.

Okache stated this during a courtesy call on the Director General of the Agency, Sir John Odo commended the DG and his management team for the successes recorded and called for aggressive sensitisation on land related matters for the general public to be adequately informed.

Responding, the Director General of CRGIA, Sir John Odo described the relationship between the agency and NIPR as positive for the benefit of the State, informing that the agency is a repository of all land documents and a one stop shop for all land transactions.

He stated that for accessibility and wider reach, the agency has set up zonal offices in Ikom and Ogoja Local Government Areas, while ensuring that the process for collection of Certificate of Ownership has been simplified to curb incessant delays recorded in years past.
