Former Chairman of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN), has congratulated Mrs. Lauretta Onochie on her nomination by President Muhammadu Buhari and subsequent screening and clearance by the Senate as Chairman of the NDDC.
In a personal message to Mrs. Onochie, Senator Ndoma-Egba, who was former Senate Leader, opined that “the challenge of the Niger Delta Region is daunting.
“He said “repositioning the NDDC to achieve that fundamental objective is even more daunting. Your acclaimed tenacity and single mindedness will put you in good stead”.
He further advised the newly cleared NDDC Chairman to be deliberate, conscientious, determined and liberal in the discharge of her mandate for the good of the Niger Delta people.
Ndoma-Egba admonished her to ensure that the newly appointed Board is seen and felt to be above board as they embark on the onerous task of pursuing the mandate for which the Commission was established.
In a related development, Senator Ndoma-Egba also used the opportunity to congratulate Otuekong Orok Otu Duke, the Cross River State nominee to the NDDC and enjoined him to ensure that the state gets her due from the Commission.
