Ayade Approves 27 December For Commencement Of Scholarship For C’River Students

In a bid to bring respite to indigenous students, Cross River State government under the leadership as governor Ben Ayade has approved December 27, 2022, for commencement of procedures for disbursement of scholarship.

Speaking to journalists in Calabar, the Director General, Cross River State Scholarship Board (CRSSB), Comrade Nuela Tessy Anyin revealed that the State governor has granted express approval for payment of scholarship to students of Cross River decent in institutions of higher education.

The CRSSB DG further hinted that collection of scholarship forms will begin on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the Scholarship Board office, Old Secretariat Complex, Calabar, while calling on students to take advantage of such welcomed development.

Anyin added that the easy-to-fill form, a prerequisite for the scholarship, will get students’ bio data, ascertain the academic status and origin of potential beneficiaries, as well as form a database of Cross River students in institutions of higher learning.

The former student leader used the opportunity to thank governor Ayade for providing succour for students and their families amidst difficult economic realities.

The DG urged students to expedite action in collecting, completing and returning the forms, as her Board is in a hurry to execute governor Ayade’s directives on prompt payment to eventual beneficiaries to advance their academic pursuits.
