Cross River State Gov-Elect, Prince Bassey Otu, has received in audience, the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Mr. Matthias Schmalz in calabar.
The governor-elect promised to partner with the international community to open up opportunities and better the lives of Cross Riverians as soon as he is sworn-in into office.
Otu expressed delight over the visit, describing the discussion as very fruitful.
He highlighted some of his blue print agenda for the state to the visitor which include, agriculture, rural development among others as key areas of interest.
Earlier, the UN Representative, Mr. Matthias Schmalz, congratulated the governor-elect and expressed his readiness to work with the incoming administration to address these issues that will enhance speedy economic growth and the development of the State.
