Cross River State government has announced a dusk to dawn curfew in two local government areas of the state following reports of security threats.
The curfew is imposed in Bakassi and Akpabuyo local government areas from 7pm to 6am from July 3, 2023.
A statement issued and signed by the Secretary to State Government (SSG) Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh, said that “the directive was handed over by the State governor Sen Bassey Otu, the Executive Governor of Cross River State.”
Accordingly, the statement added, “movement of people and vehicles would be restricted during these hours”.
“Members of the public are advised in their own interest to adhere strictly to these directives”.
