The Power Of Jesus Christ Subdued The Power Of Darkness At The “Tarry Night”

Lamentations 3:37 says “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?”.

He cannot share His glory with anyone. He is the Almighty, Alpha and Omega.

The theme for the Tarry Night is “In The Days Of His Power”. It was a unique and uncommon night.

Earlier, the agents of darkness, demonic powers and principalities had boasted that they were coming to cause confusion during the Tarry Night, says the Prophet in the House. They boasted, but God who is the author and finisher of faith, proved to the agents of darkness that “there is only One God, One Power and One Spirit existing both in Heaven and on Earth – Amen!

“It is written that there is no other power that exists on this planet earth, none except the Power Of Jesus Christ, the Revealation and Salvation of our time”.

Actually, the Prophet who acknowledged their presence said, the agents of darkness actually came, but they came late as the pillars of fire of God could not allow them in. They left in anger and disgrace never to come near God’s Arena Of Liberty GOAL aka “Enough is Enough”.

The preparation for the Tarry Night started in ernest months ago, with prayers, fasting and declarations upon the head of demonic powers and principalities. It was completely total war. The Prophet had never failed to remind Ministers and workers to pray.

“There is only One power and that is the power of Christ. It supercedes every other power on earth. The other power only come to steal, kill and destroy. There is no gain in demonic powers, but pains.”

“In Jesus Christ, there is Goodness, healing and deliverance. There is joy, peace, love and long-suffering. He is the way and the light. His power radiates across believers. He doesn’t discriminate. What He does for one, He does for all”.

“As they came, they met their waterloo. They were put to shame, humiliated.”

Glory, glory, glory was the Night. It was a night with a difference. The Almighty God proved Himself as He honoured His Word on the issues of security, fair weather, overflow and above all His supernatural presence.

And the Servant of God, Prophet Sunday Obi began to sing, “I never see anyone like Him. Jesus na big man oo, who know am call am small boy” reigned the air as the congregation danced their way out of troubled waters”.

The other powers got frustrated and the power of Jesus Christ took over from the opening prayers till dawn by 6.30 am.

The giant of Africa, Prophet Sunday Obi, was absolutely incredible as the spirit of God begins to move him round to fetch out people with challenges with ease – Alleluia!.

A visiting minister of God, Bishop Henry Abiam, prophetically delivered the Intercessory prayer points under the instructions of the Holy Spirit.

Isa 49:22-23 says “Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders”.

He turned these bible verses into powerful prayers, “causing power of affliction of any kind to flee, every covenant to break, monitoring powers to die, calls for personal deliverance from sins, frustrate any power blocking my progression in life and that God should redirect our ways towards loving Him.”

He prayed against hardship, storms of life and pains, today hearing the sound of his voice, the yoke shall break in Jesus Name Amen, Oh Lord, I will not die utill I fulfill my destiny in life, nobody shall come to me to say sorry and none of members of my family shall before the end of this year”.

Joyfully, God’s own general, Prophet Sunday Obi, says the restoration time has come. Something is about to happen in one’s life. David became a leader through the power of God. He says, this Tarry Night is very “unique and uncommon”.

It was another great moment as the Arena Echo International choir rendered a song entitled “The Powerful Jesus”. It was very obvious that the choir remains the best choir in the World.

There were time for testimonies, special numbers to entertain the congregation and push the devil off the track. In the days of his power, things happened. People got healed, testimonies, deliverance and blessings. Moses heard His voice and the Red Sea parted ways. As a believer, when you key into testimonies, during praise and worship, the door opens for you – Amen!.

This moment was for praise and worship. The Prophet was in charge as he raises songs at will and the congregation danced.

Prophet Obi says “when you go to the valley to pray over a storm and suddenly you remember that Jesus is with you, that storms must vanish.”

“A moment with Jesus is a worthwhile experience. It comes with power and grace. He is your Ebenezer”.

Singing “I have a God who never fails”, the Prophet with humility ushered the guest speaker Apostle Ubong Thompson to present the Word “In The Days Of His Power”. It was the moment we have been waiting for.

He began by inviting the Holy Spirit to take over from him and direct the way the Word should go. According to him, “I have come to teach the Word and not to preach”.

“To bless, he says, means to empower. You need power to subdue powers and principalities. The language the Spirit understands is power. Power is in every being. Power is for Jesus and not for pride.”

“It is might or grace. It is an authority to reign on earth. We need power on earth to operate. We need power to function. It is for healing, deliverance and to destroy satanic buildup or drvices.”

“We are given power over unclean spirits. It is used to break yokes and burdens, Power is from God, it is by the Spirit, by speaking the Word of God, it must be sustained, through prayers and fasting, fellowship with God and filled with the Spirit”.

“Power brings favour. It is for exoloits. You must be bold in spirit and physical. Our God is powerful. It is an error to say I am sick”.

The following Bible verses could be of tremendous help. Psa 110:3/Lk10:19/Matt 10:1/1st Cor.2:4/Dan 11:32/Acts1:8/Heb 4:12/Eph3:20 and Lk21:15 respectfully.

Still continuing in praise and worship, the giant of Africa Prophet Sunday Obi applauded the guest speaker for doing justice to the theme.

With passion for humanity, God’s own general, went to full ministration and began to sort out people with issues one after the other.

He prayed that every Jordan in our lives today must be parted in Jesus Name Amen. Today is night of power and battle. As I speak the Word, you are healed in Jesus Name Amen. Read Matt.18:14/Psa 110:3/Exd 14:13-23.

“Today, God is laying ambush for someone”. It was a new dawn for many who believed that Jesus is the Lord “.

He offered corporate prayers for healing and blessings during the Tarry Night.

There was an overflow. His presence was overwhelming and marvellous.

First timers were duly welcomed and prayed for. Healing, deliverance and blessings were in abundance.

He is God and not man. His Glory came down as usual at No11 Otu Ansa street, Calabar.
