Cross Riverians have been advised to brace up with their business acumen to efficiently and effectively key into the projected business climate during the Christmas festival in the state capital.
The Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employments, Hon Patrick Egbede gave the advice while speaking on the economic benefits of the yuletide celebration which kicks off from the 1st of December to the 1st week of January,2024.
He stated that the Xmas festival opens broad opportunities for the business inclined to deliberately venture into creating impact at any level of scale.
The Commissioner said that the size of the business would not be a determining factor for participation but every type of business that is within the framework of the extant laws would be accommodated.
He mentioned that all that would be required of all sellers would be decency, hospitality in approach, patience and understanding in all ramifications to all would-be clients adding that the display of acumen in business management which is a culture of Cross Riverians would definitely create wealth and employment.
The Commissioner who has been appreciative of the readiness of government following the avalanche of decorations of the city of Calabar as well as the Christmas village and other centers of attraction expressed optimism that this year’s event would be unprecedented.
Egbede pointed out that the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment is already activating it’s arsenals to be deeply involved in mobilizing the populace for wealth creation and employment. According to him, the Ministry is in liaison with other MDAs to guarantee the success of the event.
