The Deputy governor of Cross River state, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey has joined the Yakurr Chapter of the All Progressive’s Congress (APC) in celebrating Christmas.
Odey who was on his way to Ogoja stopped at the newly opened APC Secretariat in Ugep to felicitate with the party, thanking the party faithfuls for their support in the last election.
Also he urged them to support their elected officials and all those who hold political offices because they are strategic to the future of Cross River state.
In a statement made available to the media, the Commissioner for Special Duties/Inter Governmental Affairs, Mr. Omini Ewa, emphasized the importance of returning to one’s constituency while thanking the Deputy governor for honouring the constituency with his presence.
Highlight of the event had in attendance Hon. Cyril Omini, Member Representing Yakurr 1 in the State House of Assembly, State Vice Chairman (Central) of the Party, Hon. Abubakar Efoli, State Security Adviser, Major General Obono Okoi Ubi (Rtd) amongst others.
There was a commendation by the deputy Governor and a cash donation to the women and the party whom he said were very organized.
