Cross River State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey has received the Commander of 13 Brigade Nigerian Army, Major General E. I. Okoro at Government House, Calabar.
Major General E. I. Okoro alongside 46 others newly promoted Brigadier Generals to the rank of Major Generals by the Nigerian Army.
While congratulating him on his promotion the Deputy governor said, “your new status is clearly the direct result of professionalism rather than an accident of luck. Indeed, you stand out as the proverbial goldfish that cannot be hidden”.
He urge him to bring his zest and unparalleled expertise to bear in combating emerging security challenges while reiterating the state government’s continued support to the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
