The Deputy governor of Cross River state, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Peace and Conflict Management upon successful completion/defence of his research thesis.
This award follows five years of rigorous research and is clearly one of the most fulfilling academic efforts of Dr. Peter Odey, an avid seeker of knowledge whose quest has still not reached his academic Rubicon.
Dr. Odey who was absent at the convocation ceremony due to his participation in a state function outside the country followed the event proceedings remotely via Zoom.
Dr. Odey studied Sociology in the University of Calabar and upon graduation, proceeded to study Law at the same University. He has also earned Master’s degrees in Political Sociology and International Relations (specializing on Peace and Conflict Resolution) from the University of Leuven, Belgium, and the London Metropolitan University, respectively.
Dr. Peter Odey’s education and mental prowess clearly show that he is a man prepared for the kind of leadership that will lead to the development of Cross River State.What is the next academic venture that his voracious appetite for education will lead Rt. Hon. Peter Odey (PhD) to?
