Cross River State Governor, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, flagged off the 2nd edition of the MTN CHAMPS tournament at the U. J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar.
The Governor was represented by his deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey.
In attendance were the Commissioner of Sports Development, Hon. Mrs Agnes Atsu, Commissioner of Industry, Dr Mathias Angioha, Wealth Creation and Employment Commissioner, Hon. Patrick Egbede and his Social Welfare and Community Development counterpart, Bishop (Mrs) Margaret Ene Ita.
Also present at the event were Ekpenyong Akiba, Esq, the Special Adviser on General Duties, and Mr. Ekanem Ekpenyong, the Special Adviser on Sports Development, along with other prominent government officials.
