Pamol Nigeria Limited has announced job opportunities for young graduates of Agronomy and Agricultural Engineers in the company.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Company Mr. Fidelis Godspower Obi disclosed this when the Commissioner for Wealth Creation And Employment, Hon. Patrick Egbede paid him a courtesy call in the company headquarters in Odukpani.
Obi said that applicants should contact the office for further details and follow due process for employment.
He further said that the company was striving to attain maximal production but for the hiccups in several areas particularly the depletion of the estate due to the past administration’s land policy.
According to him, the policy caused the destruction of several trees warranting the retrenchment of many rubber tree tappers.
The Managing Director, however, commended the president administration of Senator, Prince Bassey Edet Otu for his sensitivity to the growth of the company and symbiotic relationship with the state government.
He listed other areas of challenge to include double taxation and land encroachment by some landlord communities as well as insecurity.
In his response, the Commissioner for Wealth Creation And Employment, Hon.Patrick Egbede had earlier called for a more robust synergy between the company and the state government especially in the areas of employment of Cross Riverians into the company.
Egbede informed the company management that data collation for the unemployed was ongoing across the state and that it would not be stressful to recommend qualified Cross Riverians for any job.
He stated that his office will interact with relevant authorities to intervene in the enumerated areas of challenge especially the issues of double taxation, land encroachment and insecurity.
The Commissioner who was pleased with the warm reception promised to sustain the present tempo of synergy between the company and the state government.
He was accompanied on the visit by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Dr Peter Oklala and other Management staff.
