The new State Director of Information Mr. David Akate has assumed office.
Akate’s assumption of office follows his redeployment from the Director of Orientation as a result of the retirement of the former State Director, Mrs. Anita Ekpenyong.
A letter conveying the redeployment signed by the Director, Administration, Mrs. Alice Asu for the Commissioner, Ministry of Information, Hon. Erasmus Ekpang indicates that the posting takes effect from Monday, First of July, 2024.
Mr. Akate is an astute journalist who have served the state in many capacities including Director of Information, SEMA, Head of CRBC, Ikom station and holds a Cross River State Civil Service Award of Excellence.
