C’River LG polls: APC Obubra flagbearer unveils plan of action

The Obubra local government chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), for the 2024 local government elections in Cross River, Hon. Kingston Arikpo, has assured the people of his determination to run an all inclusive government if elected as council chairman.

Arikpo popularly known as “Agbor Apollo”, revealed this when spoke to newsmen shortly after returning his nomination form to CROSIEC.

The candidate who is also a renowned enterpreneur in the business space, intimated that Obubra local government under his administration, if given the mandate to serve, will experience a significant transformation where the variables of accountability, integrity, transparency, honesty and good governance can not be compromised as he would operate with the fear of God.

The APC flag bearer further disclosed that appointments into the council administration would wear the indices of the federal character principle to achieve the geo-spread of the council area. “As he dropped the hint of inaugurating a formidable campaign organisation that would navigate all nooks and cranies of the two giant constituencies of Obubra to canvas for votes, Arikpo further disclosed that his administration will explore the parameters of hard work to engage technocrats, professionals as well as men and women of proven integrity”.

 The APC flagbearer reaffirmed that the overall development of Obubra communities and the council headquarters is paramount to his mandate as he will buy into the People first mantra of his leader and mentor, Prince Bassey Otu.

He assured the teaming youths of Obubra to rest assured of gainful employment as his administration in council will open new vistas for work opportunities.

He reassured of patnering the state government to drive home developmental strides in terms of social infrastructure as dividends of the emerging democracy at the grassroot level.

The popular Agbor Apollo used the occasion to call on the good people of Obubra to give him the mandate to serve them well by coming out in their masses to vote him in as Chairman of Obubra local government area.

He also thanked the Governor/leader of the party, Prince Bassey Otu for midwifing a peaceful and transparent internal democratic process that led to his emergence as flagbearer of the APC in Obubra.

He also expressed deep appreciation to the leaders and all members of of the party for finding him worthy.
