The leaders of Middle Belt Forum, Calabar recently paid a courtesy visit to the Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Non Indigenes Affairs, Hon Okey Maduekwe to congratulate him on his appointment
The forum was led by the Chairman, Mr. Yusufu Sampson who lauded the administration of His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Otu and his people’s first mantra in the state.
“We wish to acknowledge the numerous developmental strides of this administration since it came to power over one year ago, he said”.
Sampson, who expressed satisfaction with this administration, however pledges their support and contribution towards the peace and development of Cross River state.
According to him, “members of the Middle Belt Forum in Cross River state are peace loving people and shall continue to work in this direction”.
Earlier, Hon.Okey Maduekwe had assured them that His Excellency Senator Bassey Otu, was disposed working with non Indigenes, hence his appointment as Special Adviser to the governor on Non Indigenes Affairs.
He praised governor Bassey Otu’s noticeable achievement in the state within the short space of time, assuring that “this administration is poised to taking development down to the grass root as evident in the just concluded local government elections.
Maduekwe thanked the leadership of the forum for getting up the initiative to pay him a courtesy call
He promised to convey their remarks and observation to the governor.
