The Auditor- General, Local Government in Cross River, Dr. Eni Oden Ofem, has lauded the Chairman of Obubra Local government Council, Hon Kingsley Arikpo for a good beginning by kick-starting his renovation works with strict observance of due process.
Ofem, made the commendation during his pre- inspection tour of projects mapped for renovation in the council area.
The auditor general who was represented by a Director in his office, Mr Muze Ubi, expressed satisfaction at the ongoing renovation works at the Council Secretariat.
He advised the Chairman to sustain the tempo by ensuring that due process is followed in all he intends to do.
Responding the Council Chairman thanked the AG for the pre inspection of his ongoing projects at the Secretariat to enable him deliver them at due time.
Arikpo who conducted the him round for inspection, presented a bill of quantity for projects to be executed through direct labour.
He enumerated the projects to include the renovation works in his office and quarters of the major principal officers as well as construction and beautification of Obubra tower at Obubra Junction by Ikom/ Calabar highway.
Other projects include, bulldozing and grading of earth roads, construction of Abbatoir at Apiapum, and also lighting and landscaping of the Council Secretariat among other projects.
