God is God! He is a faithful God. He knows the future. His nature is goodness. He has never and will never fail.
He is Omnipresent, Omniscience and Omnipotent. He is the head of all principalities and powers. Nothing takes Him by surprise.
How dare the thief who came to steal, kill and to destroy. He is always coming late and has never won any battle ever.

Foolish as he is, he has no knowledge that God is Supreme at all times and can never bow to him.
“Oh what a victory to the Servant of God, as God had given him by healing and covering the scar on his face after the domestic accident. Glory be to the Almighty Father”.
“God is God, and will remain God forever”.
However, looking defeated as ever before and always, the thief came back to put stress on the Prophet but the God of ARENA stood before him. He came too late. He was again put to shame.
His plans failed woefully as the Servant of God, Prophet Sunday Obi, believing His God stood firm and directed the congregation according to God’s order during the service.
And they obeyed and got victory as the Holy Spirit helped them to subdued their flesh.
The thief came but came very, very late. At last, God gave His children victory as they subdued their flesh.
Earlier, Prophet Sunday Obi had testified over what God did to him by healing and covering the scar on his face.

‘He described “God as mysterious”, saying He healed and covered my scar for a purpose. He wants to show that He is my God’.
The Intercessory prayer point was ably anchored by Apostle Ubong Thompson, according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
He prayed seeking the help of the Holy Spirit to be renewed and transformed, Oh Lord, may your word help me not to sin, purify and cleanse me, let your word order my steps, I reject the flesh, deliver me from flesh, I receive the ability to subdue sin, hatred, malice, fornication and take away everything that is not of God in my life.
He cited the following Bible verses for further study respectively. (Rom.12:1-2/8:1/7:18-19/2Cor. 6:14/Psa. 119:11/1Cor.3:16.
The worship session was motivational and glorious.
The Arena Echo International choir presented her Special No “I go far above every sickness in my life”.
The congregation became emotional after the rendition and applauded them to the glory of God.
The time for the Word came and the Prophet in his usual manner introduced the guest speaker, Pst. Mrs.Esther Charles to present the Word tagged “Subduing the flesh”.
She took her lead text from Gal. 5:16-26 to illustrate her message.
According to her, “subduing the flesh means it will be under the control of the Spirit not the current status quo, of the flesh reigning.”

“We should not fool ourselves to think we are walking in the Spirit, yet we are busy gratifyingly feeding the flesh more than we do to our Spirit”.
“Subduing the flesh is a crucial aspect of the Christian walk. Our flesh, with its desires and weaknesses, often wars against our spirit, seeking to lead us astray from God’s will’.
As believers, we are called to subdue our flesh, bringing it under the control of the Holy Spirit.
She gave some Bible examples of individuals who successfully subdued their flesh.
They are,Joseph (Genesis 39:7-12), Daniel (Daniel 1:8- 15, Jesus (Matthew 4:1-11, Luke 4:1-13), Paul 1 Cor 9:27, where the Apostle Paul says:
“This verse highlights Paul’s commitment to self-discipline and subduing his flesh, ensuring that he remains faithful to his calling and message.”
She continues “as we strive to subdue our flesh, let us remember that we are not alone in this battle. The Holy Spirit is our Helper, and through His power, we can overcome the desires of our flesh and live a life pleasing to God.”
“May we, like Joseph, Daniel, and Jesus, purpose in our hearts to subdue our flesh, that we may walk in the Spirit and fulfill God’s will for our lives”.
Accordingly, “we are called to walk in the Spirit for the Bible says we are Spirit. However, since the Spirit has a home in this tent, the flesh, we have a tendency of ending up walking in the flesh. So, in order for us to subdue this flesh and bring under the subjection of the Spirit, certain things have to be done which includes the following”.
Firstly, you must feed the Spirit more than we feed the flesh. Fasting and prayers.

“The more one reads, meditate the word, fasting and praying more than they feed they stomachs or the habits, cravings and lusts, the more one grows spiritually, gradually having their spiritual eyes and ears open.”
The more God will start revealing Himself. We must realise that it is difficult for us to walk in the Spirit or filled with Him when we have not prayed worse still fast.
“The ingredients to be filled by the Spirit and walk by Him, is righteousness, meditation and doing what the word says, which is the fuel that propels these elements is prayer and fasting is the light that ignites our Spirit into action.”
The more prayer and fasting the more one subdues their flesh and the more they walk in the Spirit. Learn to starve the Flesh by Sowing in the Spirit.
“For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” Galatians 6:8
Make Prayer a habit. Let prayer be a habit. Fall in love with prayer! Pray at every moment, at any place and at all times!
Bring your thoughts under control: “It is said that every battle is won or lost in the mind. Well this applies too to the battle against the flesh. Let the Spirit govern your thoughts. Before you dwell too much on any thought, ask yourself if that is going to lead you to sin. If it is, dismiss it before it goes beyond being a simple thought to becoming a sinful act” and meditate on the word of God every day.
Joshua 1:8 “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful”.
The Corporate prayer was taken by Apostle Ubong Thompson.
He prayed that our body may receive life and spirit to subdue the flesh, Oh Lord, I refuse to be carnally minded, I accept your spirit in my life, Oh Lord my God, may my body be holy and a living sacrifice, uproot whatever my Father did not plant in my life, and it is not by power nor by might, I receive your word in my life and Oh Lord my God, help me to leave a righteous life in Jesus Name Amen.
Earlier, the Prophet had thrown more light on the theme, saying “the Holy Spirit is our helper. He is the only means that we can seek to subdue the flesh.
Fleshly conversation such as value for wealth, hatred, stealing, malice etc can block us from Subduing the flesh.

He admonished believers to walk on our flesh to save our souls.
