Delegates of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo across the 18 local government areas of Cross River state have identified with Apostle Sen. Bassey Otu’s unprecedented infrastructural transformation in the state under two years.
Their views were expressed by the acting President of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Engr. Hilary Okeke in his welcome speech in Calabar during its Assembly.
He praised the Executive governor for his inclusivity, People friendly and People’s First Mantra” approach in his administration.
The administration of Apostle Bassey Otu has shown us great reasons to continuously to support his government.

Presently, “there is massive ongoing infrastructural and transformation development across the 18 local government areas been initiated by this administration”.
Okeke also appealed to him to sustain the tempo of peace and security of the state which he attached as first priority.
He advised the Igbos resident in Cross River state to always project Ohaneze Ndi Igbo as an umbrella body that cares for them at all times.
Okeke further enjoined them to always project Ohaneze Ndi Igbo as a united and indivisible association while doing their businesses across the state.

Also speaking, Eze Igbo, Cross River state,His Royal Highness, Eze Sir Emmanuel A. Ezenwenyi (KSM congratulated His Excellency, Apostle Sen.Prince Bassey Edet Otu on the numerous awards he had received recently.
These include ” Best Governor of the year” and the most recent Honorary Doctorate degree in Political Science by the University of Calabar.
He prayed and asked God to continue to bless the Government and people of Cross River State.
Also speaking, Special Adviser to the Governor on Non Indigenes Affairs in his goodwill message thanked the leadership of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo in the 18 Local Government Areas for their unrelenting support to the Government of Apostle Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu.

He encouraged them to continue to live in harmony with the host Communities while promising them more dividends in this “Season of sweetness”.
He enjoined them to embrace peace because “it is the only solution to development”.
Maduekwe commended the Igbos across the 18 local government areas for the support given to this administration especially in the area of peace and harmony in their places of abode.
“The government and people of Cross River state appreciates your support and will do everything possible to protect your interest and your business”, he assured.

The highlight of the Assembly was the attendance of two local government Chairmen in the persons of the Mayor of Calabar, Hon. Apostle James Koko Anam and the Executive Chairman of Calabar South, Hon. Pastor Patrick Archibong.
In their goodwill messages, they appreciated the support of the Igbos during their elections.
They reirterated the resilience and unwavering support the host community have received from the Igbo Community and praised the leadership strides of Eze Igbo Cross River State.
The chairmen urged them to continue to support the government of Apostle Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, while wishing them a peaceful and fruitful deliberations.
They reminded them and unanimously agreed that “there’s no vacancy in Cross River state government, come 2027”.

Earlier, the Onowu, Sir Livinus E. Ihezie, had blessed kolanut onbehalf of Eze Igbo Cross River, His Royal Highness, Eze Sir Emmanuel A. Ezenwenyi (KSM).
The Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Cross River State Delegates Assembly was held at Ideato Hall 41 White House Street opposite African Field,
A 5-man election committee was set up and inaugurated to conduct elections into various offices in the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Assembly.
It was hosted by Igbo Community Calabar chapter and it ended in peace.
