They rededicated their lives to God and were made righteous

The theme for the Friday’s Fellowship was very unique like other past ones. It says “The Dangers Of Sin”. The theme looks very simple and ordinary so to say, but deep in spirituality.

But it came a time, when Altar call was offered free of charge, only few people with understanding honoured the call. You don’t blame those who didn’t come out as that was the level of their understanding when the Guest speaker presented her message.

Still on the same issue, when the Servant of God, Prophet Sunday Obi, threw more light on the theme and made a second time Altar call, there were more people ready to let go anything sin out of their way and “to embrace Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Light”.

Infact, for quite some time now, Friday’s topic had hinged on Salvation, Repentance and Forgiveness. Like the General Overseer would recall, “Heaven is real while Salvation is personal”.

Today’s theme, dealt with simple things that could cause us to sin. Feel relaxed as the Guest speaker gave justice to it while making her presentation.

For me, today’s service started very unusual with few people in attendance, but the Holy Spirit does not lie, God does not lie nor is He mocked. His presence manifested in Glory and touched the people to attend the service in the numbers.

The thirty minutes worship was incredibly marvelous and entertaining. The Prophet had danced round the altar/choir as he directed the choir to proceed as usual in glorifying God with sweet melodies. It was an exceptional experience.

The Intercessory prayer points were handled by Elder Peter Elemi John. He took his prayer points from 1Tim.2:1-6. However, he appreciated God for His mercy upon our lives.

He prayed for mercy in our families, prayed for forgiveness, righteousness, that the body of Christ should take over our soul, spirit and body, prayed for guidance and protection of the Servant of God, his family, that we may have the grace to flee from sin, and also against conflicts around the World.

Elder Elemi, offered prayers for the Elders, choir, and every other department in the church, for the sick ones in the hospital, he offered prayers for mothers and their children.

The spirit of God was present during the Intercessory Prayer session – Alleluia!.

The Arena Echo International choir rendered her special No entitled “No one like you, You are worthy Jesus”.

The testimonies were appreciative of God’s blessings in our lives. The Prophet too thanked God for seeing her second daughter through in her NYSC camp. God, he said “has done so much for him”.

God’s own general Prophet Sunday Obi, ushered in the guest speaker, Min. Loveth Eban to the Pulpit to deliver her message with the theme “The Dangers of Sin”.

Sin is anything that is against God directly or indirectly. Anything that separates you from God is sin.

She says that sin separate us from God and leads us to spiritual death – Gen 2:17. It also causes personal harm. Often times, it brings self destruction. It could be through theft, shame and emotional suffering – Lk 15:11. Sin brings harm to others such as in external consequences like in religious beliefs or loss of purpose.

She described sin as any thought, word or action that goes against the Will, command or nature of God.

“Sin is often described as breaking God’s law, the Ten Commandments, sin is seen as rebellion against God or falling short of his standards.

Min. Eban gave examples of sin such as lying, stealing (Exd 20:15), adultery (Matt 5:27), hatred or murder (1Jhn.3:5) and Pride and idolatry (Isa.14:12).

“Sin is not just about action, it is also a state of the heart or a broken relationship with God – Roms 3:23.

Earlier, Prophet Sunday Obi had given some explanation as to what sin is all about. Sin is a reproach. It has no respect for anybody. Sin brings pain. It grows in humanity. It is destructive. It puts one in bondage. So many Christians today are in jail because of sin.

“There is a reward for sin, which is death. God used Nathan to speak to David. Some of us have caged ourselves as a result of sin.”

He admonished us to come out of sin, for this may be our own last call. The gate of Heaven is open so wide. Bus of salvation is going, hurry up now Jesus is ready. Jesus is the way, the truth and the light”.

King Solomon sinned and paid for it so dearly.

The Corporate prayers were offered by the Prophet himself. He prayed that God should give us the grace to reject sin, that God should remove us from the cage of sin today in Jesus Name Amen, that every foundational altar from our father’s house be broken and destroyed, that we shall see many years, that our names shall not be cut off because of sin, that God, should uproot every sickness in our lives today.

The ministration was very hot and spiritual. Many with afflictions were touched and delivered.

The highlight of the service was the anoniting of two people into the Elders forum. They are Elder Peter Elemi John and Elder Iniobong Joseph to glory of God.

Also, Min. David Ibe and Min. Esther Obeten Iwa were appointed to join the ARENA Media team.

There was light in the tunnel as they rededicated their lives to Jesus.
