BOKI DESERVES DEVELOPMENT, NOT DIVISIVE PROPAGANDA

….Calls for responsible advocacy

In recent  days, a viral social media poster has circulated across multiple platforms,  announcing and alleged protest scheduled for December 12, 2025, on London. The claims for the alleged protest are centred around a supposed N15 billion Federal Allocation for Boki local government area in Cross River State,  Nigeria.

That is just a digital flyer bit let’s be mindful of the fact that it  features an unrelated protest image likely taken out of Nigeria and containing individuals  not identifiable  as Boki indigenes, has raised public  concern and conversation.

Moreover,  the photo used also appears to show foreign police uniforms,  further suggesting that it was not originally captured in relation to Boki, Nigeria,  or any confirmed protest.

While citizens have a constitutional right to demand accountability,  development and transparency,  there is currently,  no verified evidence  that the  said fund was released,  received, mismanaged or withheld by the Boki local government Chairperson or any official named on the online materials.

No public records, official statements,  audited documents  or investigative reports have been noted to vindicate the allegations.
Me think that what we need most is constructive engagement,  not digitally coordinated misinformation  capable of inciting fear, crisis or community division.
