“And He is Risen from death on the Cross of Calvary! This was beyond human comprehension. They never believed the prophecy that the Son of man shall die and on the third day rise from death.
In Luke 24:1-53 gave a vivid narration of how Our Lord Jesus Christ started the divine journey of crucification on the Cross of Calvary.
The Roman soldiers beat Him, tore his clothes and openly disgraced him. Yet, He was humble and calm allowing the Will of His Father to be fulfilled.
Today, being “Good Friday” Christ died for the sin He never committed. He died to save humanity and yet many don’t appreciate or honour Him. We need to ponder a while and give thanks to the King of Kings who gave His life for the remission of our sins.
“Jesus Christ is all that matters in our lives today. Without Christ, we will still be living in fear and anxiety. Without Christ, we shall have no peace, boldness and courage to face the challenges of the world”.
Yes, Christ is Risen indeed and we are free from sin. He is alive forever – Amen!
In the Bible, ”Overcoming Fear And Anxiety is not about the immediate removal of difficult emotions, but about a shift in focus and trust. We must learn to intentionally choose to trust in God’s character and presence”.
The service was scanty but divinely powerful indeed, reason being a Good Friday where many worshippers had gone to their respective churches, hence this is an Interdenominational outreach.
However, the general Overseer Prophet Sunday Enu Obi had kept to his promise to close by 2.30 pm to allow them join whatever program that is going on there.
The hand of God was everywhere during the service. It took a different dimension like every other service week. Master Jesus was manifest in Glory!
The Intercessory prayer points were anchored by Pst Joseph Azogor as led by the Holy Spirit.
He prayed giving thanks to God for being alive today, thank God for Christ has risen from the death, prayed for forgiveness of sins, prayed for protection from evil in the month of April and the year.
He took his prayer points from Isa 58:11 and Col 3:13.
The testimonies were revealing and glorifying. They appreciated God for his kindness and mercies upon their lives as well as that of the entire families.
The thirty minutes worship as usual was awesome and rewarding. His presence was feasible and mighty. Thereafter the ARENA Echo International choir rendered her Special No as the congregation applauded in appreciation.
The General Overseer Prophet Sunday Enu Obi appreciated the choir for a wonderful presentation with her special No.
Obi in his usual humble manner ushered in the guest speaker Pst Mrs Adeline Elemi to the Pulpit to present the Word entitled “overcoming fear and anxiety”.
She took her lead text from Psa 27:1/Isa 4:10/Deut 31:8/Phil 4:6-7.
Describing fear as a powerful emotion that produces a physical response, she said it also helps to react to threats or dangerous situations while anxiety is the fear of the unknown.
She spoke on types of anxiety such as generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety and spiritual anxiety amongst others.
Pst Mrs Elemi also spoke on how to overcome fear and anxiety by referencing Joel 2:24/Phil 4:13/Psa 23:5/Exd.14:14/1pt.2:24 and Psa 30:11. All these are the word of God. Say what the word of God says and you shall overcome fear and anxiety – Amen!
What to do to avoid anxiety and fear. We need genuine repentance from sins, study the Word to know God, fellowship with brethren in a Bible believing church, seek God’s grace, wisdom and knowledge to face challenging situations and always be calm when you have the feeling of anxiety and fear.
Finally, she asy the congregation to say this powerful prayer: “O Lord God, I believe in the Words of the Bible, today I return all my fears to faith and all my anxiety to awareness of your love for me in Jesus Name Amen!”
Earlier, the Resident Pastor Prophet Victor Onen had offered the seven points prayer according to the theme.
Today Lord, I surround my burdens to you, every depression, fear and anxiety I place them at your foot, today I denounce the spirit of fear and anxiety, I break every demonic spirit in my life and the lives of members of my family and I cancel whatever the enemy has programmed against me in Jesus Name Amen.
Ministering, the Major Prophet of our time, Prophet Sunday Enu Obi, began by singing “cover me with the blood Jesus cover me with the blood and danced into the crowd to pick out victims of fear and anxiety for deliverance.
He sorted few people and carried out deliverance on them. The ministration was more of personal via dancing and appreciation to God for Christ has Risen in glory.
Prophet Obi however declared the end of fear and anxiety in the lives of believers in Jesus Name Amen.
To crown it all, he declared a 5 minutes intensive dance before the cotton was drawn for the day’s service.
Prophet Sunday Enu Obi announced the collapse of a section of the fence in the premises and appealed for support to get it fixed.
First timers were duly welcomed and prayed for.
