Romans 8:35-36
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”
As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
You can only be more than a conqueror when you walk with Jesus Christ, live with Christ and die with Christ. He is the way and the light. Following Jesus Christ is a prize we must all pay as long as we live.
What is that distress, persecution or famine that makes you not follow Jesus Christ who paid a prize on the Cross of Calvary to set mankind free?
Any one who decides to walk with Jesus Christ must be ready to suffer hardship like Apostle Paul encountered. He suffered severe hardships: tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger, and the sword before he conquered.
Friday’s Service was full of thanksgiving after the uncommon experience recorded at the second quarter tarry night. God is able and capable to do all things.
The General Overseer Prophet Sunday Enu Obi, expressed his gratitude to all that attended the tarry night. It was a huge success. It was an excellent outing as God showed up Mightily. The memories and reflections lingered.
The Intercessory prayers were anchored by Rev. Mrs. Kingdom Lambe as the Holy Spirit directed by appreciating God through thanksgiving. She prayed against every satanic barriers, prayed against ancestral strong holds in our family, church and the society, prayed against monitoring spirits and prophesied judgment upon them in Jesus Name Amen.
She also prayed against every gathering that is not of God to be destroyed in Jesus Name, prayed against every evil handwriting in our family, life, the church to be erased in Jesus Name and prayed that in every aspect of our life we should be more than conqueror
Prophet Sunday Obi had earlier expressed gratitude to God while dancing round the choir stand and the Altar of God. This is the way he normally says thank you to his Master Jesus.
The testimonies were revealing. The thirty minutes worship was great and rewarding. The choir had rendered her Special No to the glory of God.Thereafter, the entire premises was sanctified for the Grace of God to come down – Amen.
Every moment was filled with Holy Ghost fire that was burning all the entire church premises. And the stage is set for the congregation to hear the Word.
In his usual cheerful manner, Prophet Sunday Obi introduced a seasoned Minister of God, Elder Peter Elemi to mount the Pulpit as the guest speaker on the theme “MORE THAN A CONQUEROR”.
According to Oxford dictionary, “conqueror” is one who conquers, overcomes an adversary or enemy, subdues a situation and also one who wins a battle. Conqueror could mean victor, subduer, champion, winner and vanquisher.
He went to say that in the bible a “conqueror” is one who achieves total victory over adversaries or hardships.” This means believers are not just victorious but overwhelming or super-victoriously triumphant. This could be by seeking for fruit of the womb of one child but getting twins or triplets, food wealth, promotion in abundance”.
Therefore, possessing spiritual strength that turns opposition, disappointment into blessings through Christ our Lord, Amen..
Furthermore, he said that the concepts of conqueror can be seen in the following Bible topics:
Overwhelming victory (Romans 8:35). Apostle Paul list server life challenges like trouble, hardship, prosecution, farmine, hardship, nakedness, danger and hunger etc. Therefore Romans 8:37 declares that believers are more than conqueror through him who loved us.”
Turning enemies into asset: Someone who is more than a conqueror subjugates the foe and enemies and makes foe serve their own purpose or interest. e.g Saul turns to Paul, in politics, repentant armed robbers, ex convicts etc. Also hardship like grief, sickness etc are transformed or changed by God into stepping stones that draw one closer to God and strengthen ones faith.
Spiritual or Christ victory (not ours) : Victory comes only through Christ Jesus who secured the ultimate victory over the World on the Cross and Christians merely walk in the triumph he already won.
Some Biblical conquerors mentioned are: Joseph and his brothers and Potiphar’s wife; Prophet Elijah and the prophets of Baal; Daniel in the Lions Den.
The message was loaded to capacity. It was inspirational. It was spiritually rich and good for the soul. It was soul winning.
However, Prophet Obi further described “More Than Conqueror” as more than breakthrough, overcoming or victory through Christ over sin, fear, spiritual opposition etc because of the finished work of Jesus. There are certain trials and temptations that befall man which can only be overcomed through Christ by the power and fear of God.

The G/O had appointed Min. Tochukwu Obi to handle the 7 point Corporate Prayers as led by the Holy Spirit.
He said because I am more than conqueror, God scatter every evil gathering against me, God hold not your peace until all my adversaries are discomfited Isa. 62:1, In this 7th month of the year, unseat every enemy afflicting my life in any way, In this 7th month scatter every weapon fashioned against me and my family, In this 7th month, let God expose and destroy every agent of darkness militating against GAOL and God locate and arrest every adversary of GAOL and put a stop to their evil agenda, in Jesus Name, Amen!!
The real hour for ministration came and the Prophet was on course as he moved according to the directions from His Master Jesus. Many that gave their lives were delivered and made victorious.
As usual, the Prophetic Prayers were handled by the General Overseer.
“O Lord God, I subdue every power of sin, death etc because I want to be more than conqueror, I take authority over every power of darkness in my father’s/mother’s house because I am more than conqueror, Scatter every gathering against me that is not unto you by fire. Isa. 54:15, and I must be announced in my community, family, office because I am the head and not the tail according to Deut 28: 13.
He said “make me a voice in my family, community and even in the forest, let the blood of Jesus speak for me that I may obtain favour, kindness and love everywhere I go, in Jesus Name. Amen!.
