It pays to be connected in the spirit than the physical. Things of the spirit are eternal while physical needs are temporal.
God who is spirit, loves spiritual connection from His children always.
John 4:34: says
“Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work”.
The reason why we are created is not only to do the Will of God, but to finish His work.
As believers, are we doing the Will of God as we wake up every day? Have you strived to finish His work or have we abandoned it halfway to pursue our physical need? Remember, we shall one day appear before God to answer these questions? Where do you stand? Will you be counted amongst the righteous ones?
This is an opportunity for you to choose your path. To do His Will and finish His work. This is an open invitation. It is a personal decision. Will you do His Will despite any condition? Change your ways and follow the ways of God – righteousness and enjoy other benefits therein.
Obviously, the theme of today’s service is very apt and timely. We are in a perilous time and only those who appreciates the Heavenly food shall live for eternity.
The Intercessory prayer was anchored by Evang Blessing Asim
She thanked God for life, for breaking protocol, for his sustainance and help.
She prayed “Oh lord God perfect that which concerns me, my family and all believers, Heavenly Father, I ask that your good work be fulfilled in my life – Phil: 1:6, Oh Lord God every chain of delay, captivity, rising and falling disappointment should break and scatter in Jesus Name Amen, Oh Lord God, I shall not leave your presence the same way I came, I need your blessing Lord. Deut: 28:6 and she appreciated and thank God for prayers answered.
The Intercessory prayer points were very powerful and strong.

This was followed by the usual tradition as the General Overseer Prophet Sunday Enu Obi began to dance round the choir stand and the Altar in appreciation to God.
It was a moment of reconnection and reflection. The congregation was thrilled by the beautiful praises raised during this session. The spirit of the Lord was manifest in Glory.
One thing Prophet Obi cannot joke with is the thirty minutes of worship. It came and was spiritually gracious. The entire service was ignited by the Holy Ghost fire. It was burning like never before. Everywhere became very hot for the enemies to withstand.
The testimonies were encouraging to the glory of God. The Arena International cyhoir entertained the congregation with her Special No.
The Prophet had earlier introduced the guest speaker, Min Joseph Azogor to present the Word titled “To Finish His Work”. He started by appreciating God for the grace to speak His word.
He took his lead text from: John 4:34, Luke 2: 41 – 52, Philippians 4:13, 2 Timothy 4:7, John:17: 4, galatians 6:9 respectively.
According to him, “God has given every believer a purpose. Jesus came to earth with a clear mission to do the Father’s Will and complete the work He was sent to do. As followers of Christ, we are also called to faithfully finish the work God has entrusted to us. The greatest example is Jesus Christ” (John 19:30).
He enumerated areas God had empowered us to finish His Work. These include, Total Worship; It is a lifestyle of love, obedience, praise, and complete surrender to God, Fellowship; It’s the spiritual relationship believers have with God, Ministering; This means serving God by servicing others with love, humility, and compassion, Evangelism; It’s the act of sharing the Good News and Discipleship; It is the lifelong process of following Jesus Christ, growing in faith, obeying His teachings.
How to overcome our weakness in other to finish His Work. We must Depend On God’s Strength – (Philippians 4:13, Knowing Your God Given Mission (John 4:34) and Remain Faithful Despite Challenges – (Galatians 6:9).
According to him, there are things that can hinder us from finishing His Work. They are Distractions, Discouragement, disobedience and impatience.
“As believers, he said, “Faithfulness, Obedience and perseverance are necessary to complete God’s work. Challenges and difficulties should not stop us from fulfilling our calling. Always rely on the Holy Spirit for strength and guidance with determination to finish well and bring glory to His Name.”
Prophet Sunday Enu Obi, In line with the theme for the day, said, “I have finished my own. (John 19:30). You have to finish your own. At the age of 12, (Luke 2:41-45) Jesus identified his mission and ran with it.
He recalled familiar saying and song like; “Jesus started well and ended well.” “Jesus started with prayer and ended with prayer.” “Why worry when you can pray?”
As Christians, trust that God is faithful and will accomplish His purpose and plan even when it takes time. Don’t be discouraged despite disappointments and delays. Be prayerful. You could pray and answers don’t come immediately because spiritual gifts differ with spiritual offices. Don’t give up.”
Obi recalled how God blessed women with fruits of the womb in GAOL despite all odds. Talking about Sarah in Genesis 18:11 and 10, he urged believers to be patient with God who’s timing is different with man.
“To finish the work timely well, sow special seed or give sacrificially “to God” like Hannah did with Samuel. Give sincerely, not like Ananias and Sapphira who started what they could not finish. Sowing beyond the demands of the altar speaking against you is an added advantage. Sow without being told”.
He continued, in order to finish His work, “You must be saved. Don’t gossip servants of God (“Psalm 105:15-17), if you do, then you don’t fear God (1 Chronicles 16:22). Avoid fighting in church.
In conclusion, he said, “How dare you lay hands on the Lord’s anointed?”
The theme for each service is aimed at meeting the needs of specific persons. So regard them seriously.

The Corporate Prayers was handled by Apostle Ubong Thompson. He appreciated God for life and grace to see the day.

He prayed according to Psalm 119:18 – Oh Lord my God, cause my eyes to open to the extent that I will serve you to the end, Psalm 69:9 – let the zeal to serve you consume me, Jer 1:5 cause everything you have ordained for me to do find expression in my life, Heb 4:3 – we shall not labour in vain for every work I am doing for you by your help, James 1:5 – grant us wisdom and understanding to do your work from start to finish, Galatians 6:9 I – I receive the ability to do the work to the extent that I might not faint and 2 Cor 2: 9/8 – let the ability of God rest on my shoulder to do your work – All in Jesus Name. Amen!
The ministration was exceedingly powerful. God of Prophet Sunday Enu Obi showed up Mightily. As they submitted to the spiritual power of God, they received their healing.
First timers were duly welcomed and prayed for.
