As they choose to walk with Jesus, darkness disappears from their lives

Jesus Christ is the only way. He is the Truth and the Light. He leads the path of salvation and eternal life. He is the morning and shining Star. Jesus is the way to “deliverance from darkness”.

When you follow Jesus, darkness disappears and gives way to total deliverance and rescue.

From the Old to the New Testament, it was recorded that those who obeyed His commandments and followed His ways never regretted all seasons. There was always a way out whenever trouble sets in. Those who have accepted Him as Lord and Savior always triumph. Thank God, the theme of today’s service “Deliverance from Darkness” is apt and timely.

There are only two ways Light and Darkness. Light is for Jesus while Darkness is for Satan. We have a joice to make. It is a personal decision. Be warned: “Our Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to defeat darkness. It is a reality and will remain so till eternity.

To those who attended today’s service, God has rescued them from spiritual blindness, the power of sin, eternal misery and satanic dominion. As many that will receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, may they receive deliverance from darkness in Jesus Name Amen!

“If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you do not need to beg for deliverance”.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed”.

When you follow Jesus Christ, you are transformed into the Kingdom of God – Alleluia!

The Intercessory prayer points were anchored by Min. Loveth Eban as she began to appreciate God for His mercy, grace and goodness in our lives.

She also prayed and thanked God for the gift of live, asked God for mercy, prayed against every spirit of bondage, prayed for the light of God to shine in our lives, prayed that every form of darkness will give way in our lives in Jesus Name Amen.

The prayer points were so touchy and real that people started to speak in tongue as a sign of deliverance.

It led to the usual thanksgiving the General Overseer Prophet Sunday Enu Obi normally gives by dancing round the Altar to appreciate His Master Jesus Christ.

The worship session was powerful and glorious. It shook the kingdom of darkness.

Testimony time:
It was encouraging to the glory of God. Prophet Obi encouraged worshippers to learn to appreciate God. He gave instances of how the minister scheduled to preach for the day lost her brother-in-law that morning. The choir had earlier rendered her Special No to the glory of God.

Also, he recalled how new laws enacted in certain states are not favourable for Christians and social gatherings except God intervenes. Simply put, appreciate God for gift of life, freedom of worship and social gatherings without hitch as experienced here in Cross River state.

However, in the absence of the guest speaker who was bereaved that morning, The Word, was thereafter presented by the General Overseer Prophet Sunday Enu Obi with the Theme: “Deliverance From Darkness”.

He said, “so many people are asking; is there darkness? Is there deliverance? How do you get delivered?”

According to him, darkness is anything that takes your peace and does not glorify God in your life, e.g ills in family, company and community, living in sorrow, quarrelling etc.

He went on to state that “unknowing to people, we live in darkness. The good news is, when light comes, darkness disappears. When one sees light, trust in it, stand by it. Darkness cannot comprehend light as light transforms unusual to usual, bandage to freedom, brings sanctity, abnormality to normal and so on”.

“Deliverance from Darkness is being rescued from a state of sin, spiritual bondage, ancestral powers, separation from God and the powers of darkness as well as being brought into light and unity with God.”

Darkness is classified into
Sin. It is any act that does not glorify God such as lying, stealing, covetousness, immorality, anger. Living such life is being in darkness. Sin is sin and can bring you to zero level and nothingness. It is a state of compromise where you can do anything for something.

Spiritual Bondage is a state of being in bondage, captivity, having no say. In prison for instance, all inmates are called ‘criminals’ irrespective of their status or personality. Satan comes to steal, destroy and kill christians; that is spiritual bondage.

Deception: Satan deceives people. He even tried to deceive Jesus Christ (the owner of the world) who confronted him with and by the power of the Word. “It is written….” on all three occasions “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

Separation from God: This makes you live in evil. Whenever you want to read your Bible, when the word is being preached or worship is going on, you begin to feel sleepy or even sleep off. Galatians 1:13

Darkness represents sin and disobedience; that is, living contrary to the will of God, Spiritual Blindness and deception is living a contrary life blinded to the Will of God; not believing the Word of truth and Bondage is when you are being controlled by negative spiritual pattern in families like having first daughters not marrying and premature death.

Also Fear and Helplessness. This separates you from God. It is fauls yet appears real and is a killer disease. Be bold and counter it by Word application and the influence of Satan and Evil scripture contract will keep you in bondage. When it materialises you die because you don’t believe the word of God.

Prophet Obi described deliverance as being set free from Darkness. Acts 26:18 “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”

“It means darkness no longer has ultimate power over your life. Former goes away, new takes over. Scriptural References: 3 Jh 8:12, 1 Pet 2:9, Eph 5:8, Ps107:13-14, Is 9:2, Ps 18:16-19, 2 Cor 4:6, Phil 1:5-7

He said “you can get delivered when you give your life to Christ, walk in spirit and truth, live a righteous life, don’t compromise your christianity, be dedicated to the things of God, walk after righteousness and holiness, learn to build the church of God, work in God’s vineyard, read the word and get closer to God”.

The ministration was glorifying and pleasing to God. He manifested in all ramifications. Many got their deliverance instantly. It was glorious.

The corporate prayers were handled by Pst. Mrs. Rita Kelvin Okang as directed by the Holy Spirit. She prayed “O Lord, lighten my path and take away darkness by your word, I brake out of every pattern running in my family, every fear from the pit of hell out of my way and life, any form of delay in my life your end has come and therefore out of my life.

She prayed against every altar from the pit of hell in my father/mother’s house to catch fire, let there be light in my life in every area and finally appreciated God for hearing us. In Jesus Name, Amen! It was hot and powerful session.
