In a bid to adhere compliance governor Senator Ben Ayade’s directives on compulsory nose masks for all worshipers, the Yakurr chairmanship candidate in the May 30th local government elections, Hon. Ofem Ebri Obeten, has commenced distribution of nose masks to churches in Yakurr and its environs,  the Patriot News has gathered.

He donated  over 2000 nose masks to members of St. Paul’s Parish Ijom Ugep, Presbyterian Church of Nigeria and thanked His Excellency Senator Ben Ayade for lifting the ban on public worship.

According to him,  the lifting of the ban was necessary to reconnect believers to the joy and grace which they often share in fellowship with one another in their different fellowship centres.

He encouraged them to continue in the urge for the development of their “spiritual economy”.

The Yakurr chairmanship candidate stressed that religious morals are an integral pilar in the growth of every person.

Speaking on the local government elections scheduled for Saturday, May 30th, the PDP flagbearer appealed to members of the church to take full part in the electioneering “even as he beckoned on them to remember him in their ballot paper”.

Hon. Ofem therefore assured them that “God will reward their patience, while affirming that his proposed administration would bring answers to their prayers and the desires of many years ago.”.
