Bakassi Chairman Charges Council Staff To Live Up To Expectations

The Chairman of Bakassi Local government area, Hon.Iyadim Amboni Iyadim, has charged staff of the council to be dedicated to service in order to reposition the council.

Iyadim who made the charge in a maiden interactive session with the staff, stressed that their  commitment to duty will go a long way to enable the council realize its goals.

Citing his address from 1 Corinthians chapter 12 from verses 12 to 26, the Chairman emphasised the need for a team work and togetherness because the joy of one staff is a joy fall and the fall of one staff is a fall for all, stressing that, ” the essence of coming to work punctually is to make the council work and when you work as a team , the council will grow to an enviable height.”

He promised to make the workplace comfortable to the staff as according to him,” facilities will be provided to enhance productivity as I intend to make incentives available”

Though he disclosed that he will not condone habitual absence from work, he called on those with ailments to report to report to the Head of local government administration HOLGA, Elder Paul Agboche for documentation and necessary action , adding that it is intention to make his administration in the council a memorable one

According to him,” we will  work non-stop when the supervisors assume office, so I charge to make sacrifices to ensure this place is turned around.”

He assured that all outstanding indebtedness due staff will be addressed in due course, adding that unnecessary change of certificate of origin to Bakassi to occupy vacant positions in ministries, departments and agencies will no longer be tolerated and them to forget the past and forged ahead. 

The vice chairman of Bakassi local government area, Etieka Mrs Lawrencia Ita, enjoined the staff to see the need to come to work to justify their pay while stressing the essence for service delivery

He assured them that the administration make sure they are happy  and through their contributions and cooperation good things will come from Bakassi as a collective effort will make it a model

The staff  in their remarks disclosed that the council is indebted to some of them, that some of them have not been promoted while some have not received their salaries for months.
