Be Decorous In The Examination…Hon Ita Advises Candidates

Candidates at the on going 2023  Compulsory Examination for Administrative and Professional Officers  in the State Civil and Public Service have been advised to be focused and consider the mental exercise as pivotal to progress in their civil and public service career.

The Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pensions, Hon. Mrs. Lawrencia Ita handed down the advice while addressing the students at MDI, venue of the examination shortly before the commencement of the exercise.

The examination which is running concurrently at the Ikom center allows fresh air into the system which had suffered stagnation for several years occasioned by inactivity.

She maintained that the excercise is classified world standard because of the quality of the curriculum and rated very important in career progression.

Ita said that examination malpractices and other related offences during the exams would not be tolerated as culprits would face severe punishment in line with extant laws on examination malpractices.

The examiners were also urged to be strict in the administration of the mental exercise and should avoid any act capable of demeaning the educational program. 

She recalled expressed gratitude to the State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu for approving the return of normalcy to training of civil and public servants which she emphasized would usher in the ‘Sweetness’ to be savoured by all.

The examinations which begins today would end tomorrow both in Calabar and Ikom.
