In a bid to encourage hard work and dedication to service, the Department of Information, Ministry of Information, gave out commendation letters to thirteen () Information Officers of the ministry.
They are, Ukongikwen Adie,Uchino Amatey Kingsley Agim, Iloke Egbe, Sylvia Okoi,Blessing Enagu and Esther O. Okoi.
Others are,Nakanda Iyadim,Mary Okon, Achine Adams,Caroline Igbo,Joseph Allah and Itam Offor
The presentation was made by the State Director of Information Mr David Akate during a meeting with all Information Officers at the Conference room of the ministry.
According to him the commendation which was in recognition of their resilience in the discharge of their duties was to motivate and to spur up hard work.
Addressing Information Officers at the meeting the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Ntunkae Offiong Ani Offiong shared her wealth of experience in journalism practice and encouraged them to think out of the box in other to have a grasp of the job which she described as honourable and dignifying.
