HWOSA CALABAR BRANCH ELECTS NEW EXCO TO PILOT ITS AFFAIRS

.Hope Wadell Old Student’s Association (H.W.O.S.A) has elected 10-man executives to pilot its affairs for the next three years.

The newly  inaugurated executives includes-Barrister David Edem – President, Mr. Godwin Archibong-Vice President, Mr. Harris Edet-Secretary, Mr. Effiom Assistant Secretary and Mr. Henry Coco-Bassey- Financial Secretary.

Others are Mr. Akiba Eyo-Treasurer- Hon. Mbora Eteta Ita,- Welfare I, Mr. Kufre Eka Idem-Welfare II, Mr. Daniel Ukpata-Public Relations officer while Mr. Aka Eyo is to serve as Provost.

In his address, the former President, HWOSA, Calabar branch, Elder Bassey Etim commended the Old Students for giving him unalloyed support during his entire six years .

Elder Etim called on them to rally round and give the current President of Calabar branch, Barrister David Edem maximum and overwhelming support assuring that he will turn around the fortunes of the institution.

He expressed optimism that his predecessor under his watch will deliver on his mandate.

An old student of the institution, Barrister Ekpenyong Akiba described the election as credible, transparent and free and fair.

Barrister Akiba who is the Special Adviser to the Governor on General duties contended that the present President of HWOSA, Calabar branch, Barrister David Edem will deliver on his mandate.

 He described him as a competent leader who will build a strong united and indivisible front for the benefit of all old students of the institution.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected President of Hope Wadell Old Student Association (H.W.O.S.A) Calabar branch, Barrister David Edem thanked all Old Students for giving him an unwavering victory assuring that he will carry all Old Student along.

Barrister Edem revealed that as the new President of the Calabar branch, the institution will be given a special status in the scheme of things promising that he will partner with the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, the school management and other relevant agencies to see to the development of infrastructure in the institution.

He said that he will embark on serious and deliberate membership evangelism drive to draw more old students into the branch.
