The Chairman of Obubra local government Area, Hon Kingsley Arikpo has approved the reopening of the local feeder ring road from daily market of Obubra headquarters through Ofumbongha, Yala, Akam -Ogbagwoni, Onyen Okpon to link Ikom /Calabar Highway at Ochon.
The chairman made the approval during the maiden Exco meeting in his Office in Obubra.
Arikpo said his consideration for the dailyMarket/Ofumbongha/Ochon ring road is to network the various agrarian communities in the four zones that contribute in ranking Obubra as the food basket of Cross River.
In a unanimous decision, the Exco approved the grading of the ring road as one major project of the Local Government Council.
The Executive Council meeting also approved the construction and beautification of Obubra Tower at Obubra Junction, construction of a perimeter fence at the rice mill of Ofodua industrial layout.
The local government Executive Committee also approved the grading of Ogurude /Isobo road, in Osopong 1añd 2.
Also approved was the renovation of office of the Chairman and his official quarters.
Other projects approved by the executive Council, are the renovation of Chief Magistrate’s quarters, residences of the Vice Chairman, and Secretary of Council.
The executive meeting also approved the renovation of the executive block For Supervisors as well as the Legislative block.
